Stallholder Information

Information Guide 

The cost of your standard single stall (est stall size 2m x 2.5m) includes:  

  • the market organisers advertising and venue costs for the event;
  • a trestle table (1.8m x .73m – Mackay or  2.4m x .8m – Townsville) and chair;
  • public liability insurance & secondhand dealers licence. 

Please provide your own table covering – all tables must be covered and remove any rubbish from your area upon leaving. Review Market Check List for what to bring on the day.

We do ask stall holders to assist in packing up where possible at the end of the day as many times the venue is leased by another party on the day and we need to vacate the venue quickly.  

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The market organiser takes no responsibility for your customers complaints over any items that you sell. We do not take responsibility for any Preloved Toys or Bulky Goods that you sell.  All goods MUST be working and NOT Broken.  After the event we are required to inform the customer of your contact details if a matter arises.  If the venue is damaged due to your own negligence you will be required to pay costs incurred for repairs. Please take care when moving bulky items or when taking your goods in and out of the venue.  

All stall holders are responsible for reporting any incidents to the market organiser and completing an incident report form.  

The venue will open at 6:30am (Mackay) and 7:00am (Townsville) for stall holders to arrive. Stalls will allocated according to your product and timing of your booking.  All stall holders will be required to arrive before 8am – the doors to the venue will be closed at 8am as customers will be arriving and we need to close the venue for stallholders to make final prepartions to their stall. The doors will re-open to the public at 8:30am(Mky) & 9am (T’ville) sharp, so please be ready to serving at this time.  

Should the market be postponed or cancelled due to unforseen extreme weather conditions your money will not be refunded.  Market organisers will endavour to do their best to accomodate stallholders and reschedule the market for a best next date.  Please take note of “Stallholders Cancellation Policy / Schedule of Events”.  

Preloved Stalls

Stall holders are required to sell only pre-loved babies and kids items of good quality, in working order and clean. NO Broken or Faulty items will be allowed.    We do not take responsiblity for complaints over your items sold and will not be held liable for any items you sell.

Bulky Goods will be displayed in a designated area. Please download your Bulky Goods Tags.  

Bulky Goods are limited to cots, prams, car seats, highchairs, bouncers/rockers, bikes/trikes, outdoor/larger indoor play equipment & gyms etc.  But NOT any toys under 50cm in length, pottys or toilet training seats, baby activity blankets/frames under 1 meter wide. Please bring bulkly items to the Bulky Items Display area prior to 8 am. All items are to be ticketed with your stall holders number, a description and price of the item.  

To Price your items you may find some helpful information in our FAQ (see links below).  To assist with your sales on the day you may wish to print off the “Coloured Dot Pricing System”.  You can then colour code your items with dots and stick the sign up at your stall to make it easier for customers to shop.

New Business or Promotional Stalls

Stall holders are required to sell or promote only new babies and kids items of good quality; or promote services related to mums, dads & families.   

Promotional Stalls may include products applicable to mums or children that are provided through Home Based Business. We endeavour to have different product ranges at each market, but at times will have similar products returning at each market.   

We also request that stallholders have respect for each other and do not copy products.  We support all home based business and ask that all our stallholders respect the hard work and efforts that each WAHM puts in to their business.  

Only authorised promotional items will be allowed as part of Motherlink Market Bags. Please only hand out advertising material to those who ask for it at your stall. No outside unauthorised people will be allowed to hand out advertising material, any flyers placed on car windows at our events will be removed.   Please note that we do not allow any advertising that is a conflict of interest to the concept of our markets and we reserve the right to refuse with no explanation.  

If you are part of a Party Plan Business and wish to have a stall please approach your team leader and organise for a stall to be booked for the market.

We have introduced a new application process for NEW Business Stalls Only.  If you have not attended our market previously you will be required to complete the Application Form  and email 3 product photos (jpg) or logo with a link to website/facebook so that we can review your products or service.  Some pre-registered stallholders have “exclusive rights” to sell certain products or Brand labels at our markets, in the case that you overlap you may be asked not to bring certain items from your range, however will do our best to accommodate as many different businesses as possible.

Preloved Stallholders please send us a quick email to confirm a stall is still available. Send an email and please provide the following information:

2. Market Location:

  • Date of Market

We will confirm if a stall is available.  You will then be given instructions to make payment (details on booking form) & complete the ONLINE BOOKING FORM
